Where to get your Maandhan card
All three Maandhan schemes use the same portal, so the card comes from the same place whichever scheme you joined.
From maandhan.in
Log in on maandhan.in with your mobile number and OTP, and download the pension card.
From a Common Service Centre
Most members join at a CSC. The CSC where you enrolled can download and print the card again for you.
Printing the Maandhan Pension card
- Print at 100% or Actual size. Fit to page makes the card smaller than 85.6 × 54 mm.
- The JPEG prints at the right size from any photo or PDF viewer set to 100%. The Word file already has the card placed at its exact size.
- For PVC card printers, Standard (300 dpi) suits most printers. Choose High (600 dpi) if small text looks soft.
- On paper, print front and back side by side, cut along the edges, fold, and laminate.
Questions
Are PM-SYM, PM Shram and PM Maandhan the same?
PM-SYM (Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan) is the scheme for unorganised workers, and "PM Shram" is a short name for it. "PM Maandhan" is the name for the whole family of Maan-dhan pension schemes: PM-SYM, PM-KMY for farmers and NPS-Traders. All their cards crop here.
Is the Maandhan card the same as the e-Shram card?
No. e-Shram is a register of unorganised workers, with its own UAN card. Maandhan is a pension scheme they can join. Use the e-Shram page for that card.
Does the Maandhan PDF have a password?
Usually not. If a PDF does ask for one, E-Card Cutter shows a password box before cropping.
Is my Maandhan PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is opened and cropped in your browser, on your phone or computer. It isn't sent to any server.
About the Maandhan Pension card
What Maandhan is
Maan-dhan is a family of government pension schemes, started in 2019, for people who don't have a pension from an employer. Members join between the ages of 18 and 40 and pay a small monthly amount, from ₹55 to ₹200 depending on their age; the government adds the same amount. From the age of 60 they get a pension of ₹3,000 a month.
The three schemes
PM-SYM (Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan, often called PM Shram) is for unorganised workers such as street vendors, domestic workers, rickshaw pullers and construction workers who earn up to ₹15,000 a month. A spouse gets half the pension as family pension.
PM-KMY (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan-dhan) is for small and marginal farmers.
NPS-Traders is for small shopkeepers, retail traders and self-employed people.
The pension card
Each member gets a card with their name and pension account number, used to check and manage the account.
Cropping and printing it
E-Card Cutter finds the card in the PDF and cuts it to 85.6 × 54 mm, ready to print. It works the same for all three schemes.
